Human Ear : The ear consists of three parts.
The external ear begins with pinna which collects the sound just like a funnel and passes it into the ear canal. The ear drum at the end of the ear canal vibrates with the sound.
Behind the ear drum is the middle ear which has three tiny bones which receive the sound vibrations from the ear drum and passes these to the inner ear.
The inner ear consists of cochlea which is a snail like structure. It has small hair cells which convert the sound into electrical pulses and passes these electrical pulses to the hearing nerve for transmission to the brain.
